She hopes that students see their teachers as fully invested not only in their individual futures but also in the future of their communities and the world they live in. Jax envisions a more inclusive, loving, and peaceful future with less violence, knowing that the actions we take together—no matter how small—collectively form the fabric and foundation of the futures we dream of. As a GSA club advisor, she has participated in the Honolulu Pride Parade with GSA students, HSTA members, and schools in her complex, and organized events like “Pages of Pride” literacy week, reflecting her commitment to nurturing growth in students and communities alike.

At Shanti Alliance, Jax collaborates with the Program Director on logistics and communication, contributing to conference planning, event registration, and website management. She also engages the community through social media, newsletters, and visual design, furthering the organization's mission.

Outside of work, Jax enjoys reading, writing, and learning through poetry and storytelling. She loves watching sunsets and roller skating on quad skates, finding joy in activities that keep her grounded and connected to her core values.
